So, this weather MUST stop! I know its going to be semi-nice this weekend (just in time for commencement) but it looks like the rest of the month will be in the 50s and 60s. lame I need summer weather. I feel like a slug. Plus, Jamie and I need to get back to our morning walks and that won't happen in the rain.
For those of you who don't know, my friend Jamie, her two boys and two dogs and I are walking to the Grand Canyon. (In miles) I think we calculated it to be a little more than 1300 miles away and we have almost hit our 150 mile mark. Sad part is, we have been walking for almost a year now. But, since I was in school we hardly walked at all during the school year. Now that school is out, and once the weather gets better we will hopefully by clocking in about 4 miles a day, maybe more if we rollerblade. And no, rollerblading is not cheating, because it is still a really good workout, plus Westin likes to go fast, so if he's happy, we're happy.
Here is a pretty picture of one of the trails we walk (I think)
Well, walking or no walking, I need to start getting back into shape. I have kind of been yo-yoing in weight since I started college, and now that its over I have no intention of being lazy and getting fat. I am excited to start being more active, and hopefully will start utilizing all the great hiking areas that surround our beautiful town. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
O yea, so this is my last day at work, and I get to sit here and post on my blog. Its kinda funny. There really isn't anything for me to do right now, which is nice. This was a good job to have. I got a nice desk and computer and did my fair share of filing and copying, but nothing too hectic or busy. I definitely began perfecting my web-surfing skills on those slow days. I am excited for "summer" but I think my days will feel a little long when school starts again for Paul. I most likely won't have any voice students in the mornings/early afternoons and I don't have any little ones to keep me busy yet. I guess I will go walking in the mornings, keep up on housework and shopping, and enjoy a little TLC from time to time. Knowing me, I will find many things to make my days busy. Maybe I will get more serious about my knitting and cross-stitching. I can do both, but not as well as I would like. Thats a thought... K, enough from me for now.
