Hi, my name is Elizabeth Scott, and I am addicted to researching my family history....because it is really cool!! (this is why I haven't been blogging, most of my online time has been spend checking outmy cool ancestors.) You know how people say, "I am part English, French and German" or whatever? Well, I am American!! On my mom's side I have at several people who came over to Virginia in the early 1600s. We are talking PRE-MAYFLOWER! wowsers! The earliest guy I can find is Thomas Garnett who came over on the Swan
in 1610. His wife (Elizabeth) was one of the first women to join the men in America. THere seems to be a bit of incest between her family (the Fosters) and the Garnett's, but luckily the kids of those marriages aren't directly related to me...phew! :) Ok , enough nerdy ancestry from me. Love the Ancestry stuff...have you been watching the show on tv 'Where Do You come From?' I have been watching it...it's been interesting! Have you been going through ancestory.com? I always thought that cost a bunch of money...
Yes, I got hooked because of that show, but I have always been curious. I did join ancestry.com and it is like $120 for a year long subscription, not too bad. No monthly costs. Loooove it
