Paul and I are leaving for Cali early tomorrow morning and we are very excited! We get to spend some fun time in San Francisco just the two of us, hang out with my Yia Yia (grandma), and get to know my brother's girlfriend better. What a great way to spend 8 days!! We are in need of a get-a-way, especially before all the school stuff starts back up for Paul.
We just had a nice trip to Pennsylvania to see Paul's family and have a huge Scott reunion. Very fun family to hang out with. Lots of laughter and good times. I like PA, except for the mugginess! I could barely walk from the car to the door of the hotel without getting drenched in my own sweat. (yummy) Other than that, its beautiful. We spent an afternoon driving around the battlefields of Gettysburg. It is so incredible to be somewhere with so much history. On the West Coast we don't have as much. Obviously Europe has even more history, but to stand where so much took place was a very powerful moment.
Sadly, for the second time in my life I didn't get to see fireworks on my birthday :( This is a very important tradition for me, but I suppose the Scott Reunion was a good thing to sacrifice for. :0) Here is a pic of the whole clan that was there. Wow!
