It's a Girl!! Madelyn Joy's first video.

The place Paul and I go to get ultrasounds done takes video clips of the baby, so when we went in early December to have our 20 week check up, we told the technician that we wanted to make a video for our parents for Christmas. She took about 2 minutes of video (much more than normal) and we were able to put some songs to it and make a surprise video for the grandparents to be. It was an exciting way to tell them that their first grandchild would be a little girl, Madelyn Joy Scott. We are so excited to be having a girl and have already started decorating. Her bedroom theme is called "Love Bug" and has lady bugs and butterflys that are pink and brown with polkadots. Very cute. We have already put up the wall paper border and just got a white dresser since we got so many clothes from Dimitra and other great friends and family.

Now that we have done our registry stuff and picked out our furniture and other baby stuff it just keeps getting more and more real. The scary part is knowing if will have everything we need when we need it. The stores, like Babys R Us, gives you alist of popular baby registry items, but still, I wonder if I will be prepared. Luckily if we really need something Target is only about 20 minutes away so if its really necessary Paul can run to the store. I'm just one of those plan ahead people. so, if you are a recent parent and have a mini list of essentitals you think we should have for a newborn please send on your wonderful advice since we are beginners.
