So, I have talked about this sprint triatholon that I am going to do next year, but I haven't actually confronted the idea of running a 5k...I am pretty sure I can do the swim and the biking (still need to actually do them though.) but I seriously haven't run an entire mile without stopping since before Paul and I were married. What is wrong with me! I have been watching The Biggest Loser, and last week's theme was about choices. I realized that every time I try to run, I choose to stop because its too hard, or I can't breathe, or my legs hurt. But there are people in a much more extreme situation than me on that show that run on that treadmill or in a challenge and choose NOT to stop running. So I said.."self...what is up with these stupid choices!" I am super proud to say that in the past week I have run 4 miles (all seperate) without stopping. Poor Madelyn is stuck on the ride with me, but she tolerates it. Sometimes she sleeps through it, it just depends on her nap schedule for the day. Here are some pictures from my last run/walk. ( I have been running a mile, walking a half mile and then running another mile)

Mama's Running!
It was 45 degrees out, so Madelyn is still in her fleece pjs and has a cute knitted beanie on. It matches her ducky outfit, which I totally planned. Also, she has this cool sleeping bag thing that is water and wind resistant, so she stays warm and dry in the winter!
Madelyn in her cool setup. I love my jogging stroller, it rocks
OK, I look terrible, but I dont' care because that smile is the most important part. I just finished my first mile of the day and didn't stop! Yay!
"Wait...you're gonna do this again! You're crazy, lady!"
(hehe)
K, not as big of a smile after this mile run, but that is because I am totally spent. But I still felt great afterwards.
Hope you enjoyed our little journey. I will keep you posted on the progress. This week is supposed to be cool and sunny, so that is good. I hope I don't lose momentum when the weather turns. I just have to remember "choices," right?

I think your daughter looks like she's having fun hanging with mom and checking the scenery out!
