Baby Scott!

YEA! Paul and I are going to have a baby! We have waited patiently to see the ultrasound and the heartbeeat before announcing it to the whole world. It is going at a whopping 164 beats a minute. We found out we were pregnant while we were in California on vacation the day before our 3rd anniversary. We actually did some pretty intense hiking that week in Yosemite, so my dizziness might have been a little from the altitude and little from being preggers.

I am definitely feeling very tired ALL the time. Not throwing up (for now) thank goodness! I do have a feeling of "blah" most of the time though. That is kinda annoying. And I'm sure all of you want to know that I have already had to go up a bra size! :) Crazy hormones. Paul calls the baby his little "gummi bear" because thats about the size of it right now. last week it was "baby blueberry" Its fun to imagine it floating around in there. I think once it starts moving that might freak me out a bit. I have always had this fear or weird things (like aliens) growing inside of me...hmmm. I think I've watched to many scary movies.

We were sooo happy when the test finally said "yes" or had two lines. I can't count how many boxes we went through over the last year. So, when it was actually there I did a double take because it was so faint. Then I was like, ok I need Paul's opinion. And we didn't want to believe it and get our hopes up. then the next day I stupidly took another test after I drank water ALL morning. My hormones were all diluted out of my pee so the test was negative and I was really sad. Then I held it for 4 hours and didn't drink anything and it was much darker "positive" test, so I was happy again.. Whoo! Rollercoaster ride! I'm going to put a little ticker on our blog that shows what the baby probably looks like right now and has a countdown to its "arrival." Hopefully it is on time, I don't want to miss my brother's wedding in Cali! I guess it is out of my hands though. OK, I will try to be good and update this with any new developments. We get to hear the heartbeat hopefully on Monday at our next appointment!!
