We love Ann

Hello! We just had a wonderful appointment with our midwife, Ann, and she is just wonderful! She has an answer for all of my questions and lots of handouts and videos/books that satisfy my nerdy curiosity. Like why does it hurt on my left side when I sneeze? Anyway, we got to hear the heartbeat and it was so amazing when she finally found it! I've been walking around feeling "non-pregnant" and this totally kicked me into mommy-mode. I'm so excited! Then the best part was the ultrasound. The baby had the hiccups so it was jumping around and flailing its arms and legs around, so so cute. It turned so it was facing the monitor/ultrasound thingy so here are the pictures we got. They aren't the best quality, but its still so cool to see.

The baby in this one is looking straight at us and you can see its little arm bent up by its head (on the left side of the picture) like its lounging the other arm is sticking out under its belly. You can see a tiny little leg, sooo skinny! At the bottom right of the baby. So neat. During the thing its little arm waved almost like it was saying Hi Mom and Dad!! We can't wait to meet our little one!

so, this one we are looking directly at the baby (not the profile view you usually see in ultrasounds). Its face is on the far left and it has its left arm raised up by its head like its laying back and relaxing :) Then the tummy/body is below that (or next to, since its sideways right now) followed by the legs that kinda look folded up in criss-cross style.

What a wonderful day. Paul and I are so happy, we are floating in the clouds right now. Life's good. Hope everyone is doing great!
