Baby is getting BIGGER!

WoW! We had an appointment with our midwife today and she has these little fake babies that are the approximate weight and size of the baby (she has a new baby for each week). So, the last one we got to see was for week 14, now, for week 17 it is double the size and triple the weight! This sure explains why I have this really full feeling down there and I have been peeing alot more than usual. I have officially moved from the "getting-up-once-a-night" to "getting-up-twice-a-night-to-pee." BOO, but I suppose it is good since the baby is big and healthy. Again, we got to hear the baby's heart beat, which is good and strong, and we got to see it for a little bit. (Ann doesn't like overdoing the ultrasound thing, she thinks it is invasive for the baby) But, we talked her into letting us see it for just a second. Sadly, her machine isn't fancy enough to tell the sex, but we will have that appointment in the next couple months, yipee!! The baby's head is huge! And its legs are longer than its arms now. When we saw it today it had its legs all stretched out and it was long! Again, it had hiccups, but it wasn't as floppy as it was the first time, why it was hopping around like crazy. Paul saw the umbilical cord and thought for sure it was a boy, till he realized that was an unusually large "private part" for a baby. Haha, what a funny guy.

This just in from Paul: "Our baby is the length of an airhead, Crazy!"

Paul got a four day weekend because of the Tuesday Veteran's Day and I am loving it! We got to be lazy together in the morning. I discovered that I am not used to anyone deciding what to watch in the morning hours but me, so that was a little weird. If it is nice again tomorrow morning we will have to go on a walk together, since these days are so rare. We are starting to buy diapers and wipes now when we have a spare 50 bucks laying around, so today we got our first installment. Our friends suggested this idea and we figure if we get a few boxes in the first few "sizes" there won't be as much of a burden on the shopping bill, unless of course we have to use formula, knock on wood. Hopefully all will work out great in that department. If my growing bra size has anything to say about my prospects for breast-feeding, then I'll be good to go!! :) Sorry, that was probably too much information, but its just crazy how much the body goes through to make this little life. Alright, time for me to hit the sack... Hopefully no headache tomorrow!

You're boobs are gonna get even huger. Just know that they shrink and all will be well. No Dolly Parton Elizabeth. :) (the boobs are the worst part of pregnancy if you ask me)
