The Final Shower

Here are some pictures from my latest (and last) shower.

Me and my mom

In't this a cute outfit? Thanks Tiffany! I love the little booty on the pants

Krista and her mom Becci, they put together a wonderful party
Can I get any bigger? (Yes I can, it has been a week and I am bigger than that now! yikes)

Check out the spread of food, mmmm. Claire likes to point at my huge baby bump, how sweet.... :oP

My good friend Krista threw me a baby shower for the younger crowd of friends (plus her mom and my mom, pretty cool ladies :) She made a surprise theme of baby/nursery books. Everyone was asked to bring a book for the baby instead of a card. I ended up with some great books ranging from "Goodnight Moon" to "Spot's Special Days" , "Charlotte's Web" and even some Bernstein Bear books! Along with all the books Paul saved from his childhood (I was more the library goer, so I didn't have any) we have three shelves of books for Madelyn already! Let's hope she loves to read! At least for the first few years she'll mainly be listening to the book. :) We got a cool homemade shower gift from our church shower that fits in with all these books. It is a quilted "reading pillow" with a pocket for Madelyn's favorite book to sit in. Isn't that sweet?
My favorite gift by far was the premade scrapbook for the baby. It has pages already all cute and laid out for me to fill in. Thanks Krista!! It is such a relief to have that already. I was pretty bad about our wedding album, so imagine how guilty I would feel if Madelyn's baby book was lame.
OK, mini-pregnancy update. I am almost at 37 weeks pregnant. That means that if I had the baby now it will be considered full-term and everything will be fully developed and ready for the world. I am slowing down alot and my hips are pretty wobbly which feels freaky and kinda hurts if I get them stuck in an awkward position. (Like when I roll over in bed and I put too much weight on one side, pretty painful) Paul is leaving town on Tuesday night, so I am crossing my fingers (and my legs...haha) that he will return safely and I will still be pregnant. He will be gone for 6 days. I will update you all on that status as the week goes by. But I get some mom and dad time and also some girl time so that will be fun too. OK, longest blog ever, sorry!
