Back to Normal Life

Sadly, Daddy had to go back to work.  Madelyn just loved having Daddy come and get her in the mornings instead of boring old Mommy.  I love hearing her squeal of delight when she sees him and then her smile gets even bigger when he brings her to bed to play "romper room" with us.  Our little girl has no fear, she will stand up on one of us and then fling herself backwards.  Usually the landings are soft with our pillows or down comforter, but there are times when they are not as graceful.  We had such a great time with family and just the three of us these past few weeks that I haven't really wanted to waste time blogging.  So, now that Maddy is sleeping I will put some pics up and be a good blogger. :)

From January 2010
She loves her blueberries and cereal.  Yum Yum!

From January 2010
We got her a walker that she is still trying to figure out, but I thought this picture was so cute.  She gets so excited to do big girl things.  I think we are going to have an independent child,  which can be good and bad...

From January 2010
Look at my teeth!  She still only has the bottom two, but I swear the next couple are on their way, she is chewing on any and everything

From December
Look at her in the big kid high chair!  No more car seat holders at restaurants!  It sure makes it harder to eat though because she will grab anything in her reach, including a knife!  Bad Mommy!

O, a quick story to remind all Mommies to never leave their baby alone in the bathtub. (which I didn't, thank goodness) Madelyn went diving to look at her Tinker Bell mat on the bottom of the tub and when I pulled her up wasn't breathing for a second.  I slapped her on her back and she coughed up a bumch of water and freaked out.  I didn't want her to be scared of the water so I kept her in the tub and played with her duckies until she was smiling again, but inside I was very upset.  Just imagine if I had left her for even 5 seconds!  It just makes me sick to think about it.  Tinker Bell is in trouble for tempting her to go diving!

Oh I know what you mean on the bathtub thing! I have never left my kids but they are always doing something and that ends up happening...very upsetting! Good for you for not letting her see how upset you got about it...took me a few times/kids to remember that one!
