Owwie. Madelyn is experiencing major teething pains right now. Our normal 12 hr long sleeper wakes up screaming in the middle of the night. Normally if she wakes up she will wiggle around and fall back asleep but not the past couple nights, these were obviously painful cries, so we comforted her. I thought this was all due to the couple of teeth next to her front bottoms that she already has, but the other day I was playing with her upside down and I saw her top gums, holy cow you can actually see the teeth moving down! They are big and look very uncomfortable, no wonder she cries at the smallest things lately. I remember her gums before and they were all smooth and now there are actual teeth in there! I know this is part of life and it obviously happens to everyone, but I have never seen it before in a baby so it is kinda fun (and sad when she cries).
Maddy doesn't really use the teething rings we give her or the ice cubes wrapped in a cloth, she mainly just chews on her poor little fingers. I think they will fall off sooner or later :) I sure hope those top two come out soon because I want my baby to stop hurting. :*(

A little bourbon always helps too.
